Prior to 1985: Harmony Missionary Baptist Church began with some faithful worshipers in a home on North Tennessee Avenue.

Subsequently, the worshipers acquired land at the corner of North Florida Avenue and North Street (now Memorial Boulevard).

During the early 1970s the church acquired land on at Webster Avenue and 14th Street and began work on building a church.  The congregation moved into the new sanctuary in 1982.
